Travel Signature Days


What Is This For?

International students in F-1 or J-1 status who are planning to travel outside of the U.S. must have a valid travel signature on their Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 in order to re-enter the U.S. For F-1 students, the travel signature can be found on page 2 of the Form I-20. For J-1 students, the travel signature can be found in the bottom-right corner on page 1 of the Form DS-2019. For currently enrolled F-1 and J-1 international students, a travel signature is valid for one year. 

The purpose of Travel Signature Day is to allow currently enrolled international students only* to set an appointment to receive the necessary travel endorsement on their I-20/DS-2019 for re-entry into the U.S. All sessions will take place at the International Student Services office and documents will be processed immediately if possible.
 
Students currently on OPT and STEM Extension must submit the travel signature requests along with the proper reporting form.

  2. For those on STEM Extension, please use STEM Employment Reporting Form

  1. Original I-20/DS-2019
  2. Passport
  3. Visa
  4. I-94 card or I-94 electronic card from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home
  5. Completed  Travel Signature Request Form
Additional Items to Check 
  1. Student Local Physical address has been added/updated and is current.
  2. Holds on your account are taken care of before your appointment time.
  3. Passport Expiration date is at least 6 months in the future.
Making an Appointment
** Make sure you appear on time or your appointment will be automatically canceled. 

To register for any of the Travel Signature Days, visit the Event Registration System website at tx.ag/ISSTSDFall19​ and login with your net ID and password. You will be able to view all available ISS travel signature days and times through this site. When you register for a day and time, an email confirmation will be sent to your tamu.edu email. You can also view your registrations in the ‘My Registrations’ tab.

  • October 8th, Tuesday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • October 17th, Thursday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • October 25th, Friday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • November 14th, Thursday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • November 20th, Wednesday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • November 26th, Tuesday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • December 6th, Tuesday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • December 19th, Thursday, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm

Cancelling an Appointment

The confirmation email will include a cancellation link. You can use the link to cancel your appointment. If the link cannot be found, please email ISS with the subject line "Travel Signature Day Registration Cancellation". Please make sure to include your full name, UIN, date and time of your appointment in the email.
