If you are a Texas A&M University College Station student and you are interested in attending Texas A&M University Qatar please complete the following steps.
  1. Determine with your academic department the length of time you will be attending Texas A&M University Qatar
  2. Schedule an appointment to meet with an International Student Advisor at International Student Services (ISS) by calling 979-845-1824
  3. Dependent upon the length of time that you will be outside the United States and your visa category will determine the next steps that you will need to take. This could include the following:
  • Make sure that all documents are valid for travel.
  • Enrolling full time during the major semester
  • Register with the Study Abroad office
If you are a Texas A&M University Qatar student and you plan to attend and/or complete your program at Texas A&M University College Station we ask that you please complete the following steps:
  1. Speak with your academic department regarding the semesters that you plan to come to Texas A&M University College Station
  2. Submit the following paperwork to the ISS office in order for us to process your I-20
    a) Financial documents – the amount that you will need to show is determined by the length of time you will be in attendance (link to finances page)
    b) Letter from your academic department on the department’s letterhead with the following information
     
    i. Semester that you plan to start at Texas A&M University College Station
    ii. Expected date of graduation
    iii. Academic Requirements remaining
  3. This paperwork can be emailed as an attachment to iss@tamu.edu. Please be sure to include your full name and UIN with your email. We recommend that you complete this process at least 3-4 months before your set time to arrive.
