Social Security Days at ISS

Howdy!

Representatives from the Social Security Administration (SSA) will be on campus to enumerate SSN applications for new, incoming international students in F-1 or J-1 status who have on-campus job offers on August 30th, August 31st, September 6th, and September 7th. This means that you can skip the trip to the Social Security Administration office in Bryan and apply directly on-campus in 110 Pavilion! Our records indicate that you may be eligible to take advantage of this opportunity only if you meet the eligibility requirements below.

In order to be eligible to sign up for the interview times, you must:
  1. Be starting your Texas A&M program as an F-1 or J-1 student in Fall 2017.
  2. Have completed the check in process with ISS at least two days prior to SSN day you register for.
  3. Have submitted your job offer letter to ISS@tamu.edu for endorsement.

You are required to bring the following to your appointment:
1) Original passport, visa, I-20 and I-94;
AND
2) Copies of passport, visa, I-20 and I-94;
AND
3) An ISS endorsed job offer letter.*
*If you do not have an on-campus job offer, you are not eligible for an SSN at this time.

In order to participate in an SSN Day, please register for the event at http://ers.tamu.edu.
