TAMU Student Health Insurance Notification

Welcome to policy year 2015-2016 of the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) for Texas A&M University.  Academic HealthPlans (AHP) administers the SHIP.  SHIP is underwritten by BlueCross BlueShield of Texas.  AHP’s web site is located here http://tamug.myahpcare.com/.  Policy benefits can be found on the Benefits tab and premium rates can be found on the Enrollment tab.

All international students (any student that is not a U.S. citizen or an approved lawful permanent resident at the time of registration) are required to have SHIP.  The plan is automatically charged to an international student’s tuition and fee statement. 

International Student Services (ISS) does not determine the cost of this insurance. This plan is reviewed annually by System Benefits Administration. The cost is established based on plan design, plan participation and claim experience. This plan is available for students at A&M System universities. Waiver process for fall 2015 OPENS on July 13, 2015!  You may process a waiver from July 13, 2015 through September 04, 2015
