Launch of New International Student Services Website

Posted on Friday, Feb 27, 2015

International Student Services (ISS) new website is live. We are excited about the changes that have been made and will continue to improve the functionality and content. We are aware that many departments have linked to the ISS website, which will need to be updated.  We will use google analytics to determine which sites link to the ISS website and will contact the departments.

Please be aware of a few programs that will be affected once the new site is launched.

The ISS URL will remain the same: http://iss.tamu.edu. The Sponsored Student Programs website will redirect to the Sponsored Student section on the new ISS website.

Online Orientation and OPT Data System, and GLACIER Tax Prep (GTP) Access Code
There will be a period where the Online Orientation, the OPT Data System, and the system for accessing the GLACIER Tax Prep (GTP) Access Code will not be accessible while the new website is being launched and information is changed to a new server. By Monday, March 2, 2015, both the Online Orientation and OPT Data System sites should be accessible again. The system for accessing the GTP Access Code should be accessible by Friday, March 6, 2015. If you have issues accessing these websites after March 2nd or March 6th please feel free to contact Amanda Brinlee at abrinlee@tamu.edu with a subject line OPT Data System issue/Online Orientation/GTP Access Code system issue. In the body of the email, please include your full name, UIN, and the issue that you are experiencing.

Online OPT Workshop
When the new website is launched we will temporarily remove the Online OPT workshop in order to make content edits and updates. While we are updating the Online OPT workshop, students will not be required to complete the online OPT workshop or attend an in-person OPT workshop in order to apply for OPT. Students are still encouraged to attend our in-person OPT Workshops.

We hope that you enjoy our new website. If you see any information that you would like to see added or changed, please feel free to contact Amanda Brinlee at abrinlee@tamu.edu.
